Definitely compact but very efficient. Very small making it nice for both storage and for using to get on the valve stems. Will fit very easy in glove box, purse, or even pocket. Making it nice and easy. Never be without correct tire pressure again, which increases safety of driving. A tire blowout has always been a fear of mine driving, and this is a lifesaver for me. Is very nice and heavy duty!! Even though it is compact is still very easy to read and use, even for me a woman who does not know a lot about cars other than driving and putting gas in them. Is a nice red color making easy to find and locate in ab emergency. This would make an excellent gift especially if you have new teen drivers who do not always think about safety.
